Denver was the Hall of Fames' initial inductee, was honoured by the honor in 2011. Denver has been the symbol of Colorado for many people across the globe. Certainly in my travels you encounter someone on the other end of the planet, someone who is from New Zealand and you say 'I'm from Colorado and the very first thing that comes out of their mouth is Oh John Denver! Brown said. Take Me Home Country Roads was Denver's first Top 10 Hit as a solo artist after having worked with small folk groups. The track was written with Bill Danoff.
